My dear old af seems have arrived.
I was under the impression that with breastfeeding they can take longer tk come back. My lo is 6 weeks tomorrow and she breast fed on demand.
I was enjoying my af holiday!!!

I bled for 7/8 weeks after labour, then had a week free then bled again for another week so I assumed that was a period. I bf on demand and too was disappointed that my period came back so soon but I believe its quite common and that they will be irregular. If you aren't planning another, best to use some form of contraception to be safe.

Mine have always returned between 6-8 weeks PP despite EBF. I've never got the break I hear everyone always talking about getting due to breastfeeding. It sucks. (((((HUGS)))))

Not had af yet but did bleed for 6 weeks pp. Glad she is staying away but do worry I'll come on randomly somewhere in horrific fashion.

Haha carnat that would be awful! Although you would.most probably have a nappy.on.you: P

Another exclusive BF mama who had hers return at 6 weeks here. There are some variables apparently that can make it come back sooner. For example if your LO goes for long periods without feeding at night (4+ hours), introduce artificial teats such as bottles or pacifiers early on (both my case) and other factors such as topping up with formula.

I have noticed that's LO does not like my milk as much during my period (has 2 since he was born). And also my milk supply has temporarily reduced during those days. Apparently both normal. Anyone else?

Mine didn't come back for a very long time, but I don't know whether that was bf related or because I went on cerazette when he was about 12 weeks old, and one of the common side effects of that can be that you don't have any periods.

I definitely think I have a dip in supply around the time of my period - my son is 2y 8m now and during my period his feeds are shorter and he's more distracted, and sometimes says 'milk gone?', and then when it ends he feeds for much longer and seems satisfied again.

I'm bf still and my periods returned when dd was 7-8 months old so I had quite a nice break. They have been regular since but now I am ttc again I do worry that bf still may hinder my chances xx
