period pain - baby engaging?

Hi,

Just wondering if you guys felt any pain when the baby's head engaged? Baby wasn't engaged at my 40 week appointment and for the last 12 hours have been getting period type pains and regular tightenings.

Could this be the baby moving down into my pelvis? How long would this normally take?

Any advice appreciated!

Could very well be, I had lots of aches and pains towards the end and with mysecond it honestly felt she was sat right at the edge for a couple of weeks - painful

Time is different for everyone with most things as far as pregnancy is concerned, there's never a definite answer good luck x
