people patting your bump!

is anyone else getting really angry about people thinking its ok to pat and prod your bump as and when they chose? I especially hate it when people dont ask, they just go ahead and do it but i am also getting fed up with people asking and then looking offended when i say no.

I,m not at that stage yet lol, but with my last two it really drove me bonkers!! Especially elderly ladies from my grandads home, I was swamped by hands!! The one,s that really got to me, was when my grandad in hosp for a mental breakdown, I had other,s from the ward randomly stopping me and wanting to touch my bump, those times I didn't dare say anything lol

OMFG!! I was in the Post Office a while ago and a man about 60+ touched me and said 'Awww your pregnant' I said 'Yeah but that doesnt give you the right to touch me' and moved away, he was OLD and could smell beer on his breath. WTF x

One of OH's friends asked if he could feel when we were out tonight. TBH - it doesnt really bother me - although i much prefer when folk ask. - but so far only about 2 people have been consider

SO far ive not had any random strangers feel me up - usually its folk i'd be touchy feely with anyway - like hugs etc.

So far I've only had friends and family pat my belly, no strangers yet! Must feel odd getting pats from strangers? Yuk!

Only mine and OHs family have. I encourage it if he's moving and call them over a lot of the time. If someone on the street did id go mad!

I've hardly had anyone touch my bump and haven't had any strangers yet. Everyone who has, has asked first or I've brought their hand to the bump. I would hate strangers touching me I've always thought it was weird when ppl did it to friends! x

I hate it the only person i like touching my bump is my husband as he put baby there!!!! If some one asks and I know them like friends and family I don't usually mind but not everyone it's my belly!!!!! If there wasn't a baby in there they wouldn't touch me so don't do it when there is!!!! Lol xxx

exactly! they wouldnt be touching it if i wasnt pregnant so why should i be ok with it now that i am! even family and friends are driving me mad with it. its getting to the point that i find it really upsetting. i dont mind my husband doing it at all (like vicki_b said - he put it there and i want him to feel the baby kick and bond etc) but anyone else cant get lost tbh! im dreading Christmas when i go and see my family as my sister will want to put her hands on it (she older, tries to dominate, never had kids and is very touchy feeling which drives me mad at the best of times) and the thought of it is really stressing me out already.

This really irritates me. They won't be reaching into the pram and patting my baby on the bum and I really don't think there's a difference tbh.

And really would they like it if I "pat" them round the face afterwards? My bump is invitation only xxxxxxxx

actually bb you will have to watch out for complete strangers trying to reach into the pram, ive seen it done. older ladies particularly like to stop ya and tickle babys chin.......... i dont get it and i will be peeved if anyone trys to touch my LO

I agree with bev people do that!!!! I had one lady win I had Thomas physically shake my pram to wake him up!!!!! Put the rain cover over lol it's winter so says it's to keep them warm lmao xxx
