Paternity Leave,

Hi ladies.

Do our OH's HAVE to take paternity leave!?

My OH is worrying that we will struggle if he takes Paternity leave as it's a less wage for the two weeks...
Coul dhe just take it as annual leave instead?

I know us mums HAVE to take at least 2 weeks after the babys born.. didnt know if it applied to our OH's or not.

From what we read in my OH's contract it's optional and you don't have to take the full 2 weeks. I'm sure he can take it as whatever he likes. Men aren't even under any obligation to let their work know their wife/girlfriend etc is expecting a baby. Only rule my OH has is he has to let them know his dates before I'm 25 weeks

Tri hopping here but my husband isn't taking paternity as its less wage so his boss has agreed that he can take annual leave instead.

Yup, my OH is taking it as annual leave too

My OHs boss has said he can just take it as annual leave instead so he doesn't lose out on wages. x

He doesn't have to take it, if he does take it he has to take one or two weeks, he can't have just a few days. Like the others have said if he has enough holiday it might be worth taking that instead so he gets paid more x

My hubster gets 2 weeks paternity on normal pay It would be nice if daddys were untitled to more time off mind x
