This is our first month trying for baby #2 and we uncovered a number of problems whilst ttc our little boy, so I'm not at all expecting this to be a fast process! However, regardless of our difficulties I have always had a very consistent cycle length of 28 days, with the odd 29 / 30 days on a very rare occasion but always with some sort of early indication of my period arriving, namely spotting.
I had a copper coil removed at the beginning of this cycle, had a positive ovulation test result 13 days ago but have no sign of my period starting at now 30 days into my cycle and no spotting, which I am only aware of happening when I was on progesterone supplements or pregnant! I took a first response early test this morning and it was negative! I had a positive early test result with my son so I don't think I can be pregnant and getting a negative test result at this stage, although I was on a lot of hormone support then so I don't know of that would have made a difference!
Sorry, this has ended up being a bit of a rambling thread, I am just interested in whether anyone has experienced anything similar and you can shed any light please?
Xx

Your luteal phase might be longer now than it was before, sometimes coils can do that. You also may not have ovulated when you think you did. You can get positive OPKs and still not actually ovulate. So there's a few possibilities, but unfortunately you'll just have to wait it out. I hope you're pregnant and its just not showing yet, good luck :)

Thank you very much WinterWolf. AF showed up this morning so I'm feeling very pleased that my cycle seemed to all go very well this month, although a bit longer than normal but no spotting which is a massive positive xx

Fingers crossed for you this month :)

I'm having a longer cycle than usual too this month which is really frustrating as we've decided this is going to be our first month of trying.

My cycles have increased since having my boys. They used to be 28, now I'm every 30 without fail. When TTC I always ovulated day 15/16 and think that has also shifted to day 17 now! Good luck with TTC #2 xx

Haha thank you but I don't think I have much chance this month! Had a very weird light period (really only brown spotting) and a week later had cramps/sore boobs like when I ovulate, but it was 10 days too early to be ovulation. Thought "ooh, maybe I'm pregnant" but no, my body just hates me. So I don't know if I ovulated super early when the cramps started or if I'm yet to ovulate or what...

Yes, it seems to be a rule that as soon as you decide to try your body decides to mess your cycles up and give you weird PMS symptoms. It's a stressful journey, that's for sure. Hope it's a quick one for you.
