Pains

Hi all,

For the last 2 weeks or so I've been getting pains down the right hand side of my bump - it's like a stabbing pain - happens a couple of times a day, only lasting a few seconds at a time. When it does happen it seems to be when i move. Have been to my G.P and to the hospital where i was examined by the m/w and doctor there - none of them know what it is! Baby's fine so i'm not worried, just curious. Does anyone else get them or have any suggestions as to what they might be?

Try not to worry too much i have been having the exact same pains since the day i found out i was pregnant, i dont get them as often now, but it is like a sharp stabbing periody type pain, its probably sue to uterus stretching as there is so much going on in there!!

If you have had it checked and baby is fine i really wouldnt worry

Sounds like ligament pain /stretching pains. Quite common in PG women, painful as hell for a second or two then passes. Some suffer more than others.

I get these especially when i get up off the sofa in a hurry ( phone ringing, Harrison shouting etc etc) i've learnt to live with it and its just stretching pains. It sounds the same as yours.

i get a shooting pain from my pubic area up to my belly button, its uncomfortable but doesnt hurt, and always in same place, i jsut asumed it was stretchign too

ahhhh cool, the stretching thing makes a lot of sense, i think it will be that!
