Hi, i'm Angie.
I have had four children - the last two were excrutiating pregnancies! At first I couldn't tell what was wrong with me or why I was in such pain constantly, but I did some research (thank God for the internet) and I discovered that I had a seperation of the Pubic Symphasis.... I actually diagnosed myself! My doctor hadn't had a patient with this problem and only recommended I go to a Physio Therapist to help ease the pain - and it did a little.
The symptoms are :
sharp stabbing pain in the pubic bone area.
some immobility (I had to be helped into a car, couldn't climb stairs... lifting my legs were impossible and even had to be helped to get dressed!!)
Oh, believe me - you'll know it when you feel it!
I slept on my side with my one leg raised over my hubby's thigh it relieved the pain while i slept and he was very understanding!
If the Physio isn't helping, try seeing a chiropractor with some knowledge of this and/or pregnancy.. they will work wonders!
