Hi there, I'm new to this forum and nearly 12 weeks pregnant!
I've been concerned this week because since Sunday night/Monday I've had a pain in my left calf. I hadn't done anything to injure it (although I had walked a lot that weekend and felt absolutely shattered!) Originally it came with a pain in my right thigh, which has since gone. This pain in my calf was painful and tender to touch at first and hurt to walk on. However it seemed to get better and only hurt randomly when at rest and stopped hurting much when walking. Also the pain on touching has gone down, but it's still tender.
I went to the doctors Monday because I immediately was worried about clotting. The doctor felt my legs, measured them and said it wasn't that. Anyway because the pain is still hanging around (although now it's more intermittent) I'm wondering again about it..
Has anyone here had any similar experience and any idea what it could be?

Thank you! (sorry for long winded post)

Hiya, I had the same in tri 1, went straight to the docs worrying about clots, he felt my leg and said he wasnt concerned and I could take paracetamol for the pain. He said if it continued for over 2 more days to go back, they can xray the leg and see if there is anything to be concerned about. It hurt for about 2 more days then faded away.

I had also done walking and in tri 1 its super easy to strain muscles so could be that. If it does keep hurting go back for peace of mind.
I found I made mine lots worse by constantly poking it and squeezing it lol...

I had the same thing at only 5 weeks. Doctor did the same as yours, measured felt it etc and said was nothing to worry about. But if it came back or got worse then to go to A&E and ask for an ultrasound on it and blood test x

Welp, I ended up seeing an out of hours doc again today because the pain had gone a bit worse again (on walking mostly) and I had to wait for ages in hospital for bloods to be done and to be assessed. Unfort it's bank holiday so I can't have a scan on the leg until Tuesday, so they've sent me home with injections of blood thinners. Not fun! But now the pain is worse and my calf is a little bit bigger than the other I suppose it is worth it.
Anyone else been on blood thinners in pregnancy??

I havent, but a girl I know was for a while due to an aching leg. They did scan and couldnt see anything but used them just to be safe, she was on them for a few weeks and they scanned her again and her leg looked exactly the same and the pain hadnt gone away so it obviously wasnt a clot so they stopped the blood thinners. Shes fine now, the pain went away by itself. Think she was over doing it to be honest. xx

The plantar fascitis shoes have really given me pain relief from my year long battle with plantar fasciitis. I have are so comfortable and really helps my planter fastidious. Able to walk now even long distances without much pain. Will definitely be buying another pair from orthofeet! I would recommend them to anyone with any kind of foot pain. Wonderful support all the way around.

I'm in tge same boat! I've got a pain in my right calf, just in one specific spot. I'm only 4wks and 6 days and just put it down to over doing it when running.

There's no heat to tge leg or swelling so I'll leave it a day or two then go see the gp.

How odd that this csn happen so suddenly in pregnancy
