I used clearblue advanced opks this month and got my peak on Monday.

Just wondering for people who use them roughly when do you ovulate after your first peak?

I don’t temp so can’t confirm if/when it happened.

Should also say the test doesn’t let you test for 48 hours after peak so couldn’t test next day but following day it was negative so I’m thinking day 2? X

Thank you. We dtd the day before 1st peak and day of first peak but totally missed next day.

Hopefully done enough but who knows x

very tough one.. my last cycle cd:13 peak, cd:15 ovualtion.
when i saw a doctors however he said to me you can ovulate as late as 5 days after a positive opk test & i did used to do this.. if you check cm it could help.. example cd:13 ewcm cd:14 watery cd:15 straight awake & watery but then by mid afternoon dried up to nothing / creamy cm.. so i figured i personally ovulated late morning.

I know you can be fertile up to 5 days before ovulation, I’ve never heard of ovulation as much as 5 days after positive opk but who knows!

I know, well i used to technically do this. id have 5 days of positive opks (cheapies) before i Ovulated however this has regulated itsself to a max of 3 positives now, last month i only had 1 positive opk on cheapie (same day as peak opk on clearblue).
It was the doctor i saw who said that to me as well. he asked when we tried i said eod and on +opk we do three days.. he then said to that you can ovulate 5 days after a Positive and i said yeh but i defo dont as i take my temp

I also use the clear blue opks and i seem to ovulate either the day after or 2 days after the peak. xx

I ovulate same day as my peak, but then I'm in my 40s and it's normal to ovulate very close to pos opks. It's usually 12-36 hrs after the peak for most people and you want to dtd the day before ovulation ideally, so you are probably covered. Usually though it would be good to do it the day after too.

When tests go negative after a pos opk I don't think it means you have definitely ovulated, as you can ovulate 12-48 hrs after the pos. The opk tests for luteinizing hormone, which triggers ovulation.

Plus, if you've started again on that test you are starting another cycle and the first test will always be negative. What you've done is set your baseline hormones for the next cycle. The stick won't reset until you get another smiley. I would ditch that test holder because I doubt it will be accurate now.
