Out of hospital and will be avoiding the stair gate!

Well im finally out of hospital ladies!!

For anyone that didnt know, I got up at 8am on Friday morning and leant over the stair gate to put some washing at the top of the stairs, lost my balance and took out the stair gate with my bump...landing in a huge heap on top of it!

My bump went very hard and was quite sore and bruised so I went to the maternity unit to get checked out with my husband, and although everything looked fine with the baby they wanted to keep me in for 24 hours for observation incase there was any sign of damage to the placenta, which thankfully there wasnt.

However when I was in hospital they did some routine tests and they discovered I have a heart mumur. I have to go and see a cardiologist and have a scan and go from there. The doctor said it wasnt anything major to be concerned about.

So.....just trying to rest up now and take it easy, and remember that im not quite as agile as I used to be pre-pregnancy!!!!!

So pleased you are home safe and well. Our babies are tough little things! I bet Zac is pleased you are home too! Hope you manage to take it easy for a few days, put your feet up, relax and get your hubby to pamper you.......lots!

So glad to hear your ok, you have to be careful of stair gates, if your over 3 feet tall their out to get ya . i fell over mine once luckily it was in the kitchen door way not on the stairs, my hands were full of pots so i decided it would be easier to step over it very bad idea but it did save on the washing up

Awww hun glad all is ok, sorry to hear about the heart murmor, aparnetly it's quite common to go though life with one and not know till things like this happen if your worried any time or wanna chat give me a pm i'll be happy to talk about it (having got a heart problem myself)

So glad you and baby are ok, I know what you mean by stairgates I do the same, leant over it and its come off.

So pleased no serious harm was done, they protect the little ones but are accident prone with the adults
