I keep getting a sharp stabbing pain in my lady bits. It only lasts about a second but it blimmin hurts!

Is this okay? Should I call the midwife? Has anyone else had this?

I had it

It felt like baby kicking downwards, kind of a shooting feeling

Midwife said it is the way the baby is lying

If your concerned best to speak to your midwife

ive had it loads recently too, think its a common pregnancy niggle unfortunately

Yeah, I had this on Monday night, happened a few times over the space of a minute....freaked me out a bit  ....my poor foof! I got up and walked around a bit and it went, it hasn't happened since though thankfully.

:( I have had it too, just a bit but it doesn`t half wake you up, and make you jump. think its normal though XX

I've had that, not fun, but it means baby is trundling round inside there :)

Aw. Now not sure to be peed off about the pain or pleased because my baby's wriggling around!

Thanks everyone, once again I am reassured!

the same happens to me and it really hurts, i thought it was just me, i thought i was falling apart lol but now i know im normal (ish) lol

I had this once a couple ofmonths ago, but after reading this yesterday it came again this morning. Only for a few seconds though then its gone.

I have had the same type of thing when i have been for a walk ..Do you think its the same thing as i seem much earlier on in pregnancy than you guys?

I would have thought so - my MW said it was due to where the baby is sitting. She then took a few minutes to find it's heartbeat, and found baby jumping up and down on my bladder (which apparently they like to do....). That was at my 16 week scan, and I'd been having the pains for a couple of weeks by then, although now they have largely gone. Glad you're feeling better about it Maybebaby!

There is ummmm that spd thing? Where the pubis bone is stretched slightly too much, really cant remember the name right now. I am SURE someone will know though :D I think if if the pains go on for a long time, or get very bad it's a god idea to get them checked out by your mw.
