Ouch!!! > Fractured toe, broken bone in foot :(

UPDATE:

Been to hospital finally this morning as waiting times have been over 3-4hrs every other time ive gone.
Had an xray and ive fractured my toe and broken a small bone in my foot at the base of my toe. They cant plaster cos of where it is (YEY!) so got to rest for 4weeks and keep it strapped up for 2weeks.

Im over the moon I dont have to have it plastered!





Ouchhhhhhh! I've kinda kicked the edge of the door very very hard (by mistake!) and I think ive broken my toe

Im in soooo much pain and my toe is bent the wrong way and going slowly black, have pins and needles and my toe doesnt feel 'right'

The bruising is from the base so worreid it may be dislocated or something? What will they do at hospital?

Ive never broken a bone b4, its defo not going well for me this year!!! [/b]

Its the one next to my little one, it used to curl round the next one lol but now its bent the other way

They wont do anything to a broken toe.... just go to Boots or something and get a foam toe thingy and tape it on for support.

They are crap arent they! I might go and get it checked neway as im worried its dislocated. Thanks for advice xxx

broke the same toe in December and didnt bother to go to A&E as they dont bother with broken toes...knew this from DH's previous break.

Only thing you can do is 'buddy' it to the adjoining one as previously stated.

Got my sympathy tho ouch! grab a walking stick from somewhere it'll help you stuble along.

Rest assured that they dont take too long to heal. mine was pretty much back to normal after a couple of weeks

I broke three of my toes when I was younger (a paving slab fell on them) and apart from tape them together, they will do nothing. Get some ice on them for the swelling. Then get your partner to wait on you hand and foot!

Im just worried as there is alot of pain and bruising on the top of my foot aswell. The fact that my toe is not pointing the way it was is strange too dont u think?

Its gone black now im so dumb!!!!

seriously hun get yourself to an out of hours clinic, or phone nhs direct. They may not do much but atleast they can make sure it isnt going to stay bent out of shape (it may need resetting) or tell you exactly what the matter is.

Im gunna go to A&E when my fella gets home in a few mins to see whats what, im worried so least it will put my mind at rest!
