Hi I have started using ovulation tests the first day I did it was Friday and I did the test the test line was faint but I went straight in the shower and checked it again within 5 mins it was the same as the control line but the night before we dtd using the syringe and then I did another test on Sat it was there but slightly lighter and then today it was there but faint so when would I have ovulated based on that my app says it's this week but we used the syringe yesterday so will we have a chance I'm very confused as never Used them before*

If it was as dark as control line, I would say thats around the time you ovulated. Took me ages to get used them to. X

Sounds like your positive was friday. If you dtd with syringe friday and sunday then you are covered. good luck!

hi thanks for your replies it was Thursday night we used the syringe and Sunday night too as my husband has trouble ejaculating that's why we have to use the syringe but after I loose a bit of weight the fertility clinic will be doing ai either through the this same way or through frozen sperm but I've just got my half stone award at slimming world so another stone and a half to go

But thank you for your replies and I think I am covered for this month fx

Thanks Jemma xxx

Congrats with the weight loss. We use the syringe method too.

Thank you sunflower how do you use the syringe method it's our first cycle trying this way

I was also wondering after using opks how many dpo would I be if I got the surge on Friday

You will ovulate 12-36 hrs after a surge...maybe 48. So if you got the surge friday you may only be 2dpo.

We use syringe and cup method. What exactly do you want to know? I do it all lying with hips on pillows and use conceive plus on outside of syringe. It's important to squeeze plunger down slowly...I also leave it in for 30 mins.

Thank you sunflower for your reply I know it won't have worked this month with it being the first try but I do feel different this month it's hard to say how I feel but j think it's just the sinusitis that's bothering me hope your doing well xxx

It could still work the first try. We ended up doing it the last two days as I just had a feeling last night that I was about to ovulate. We are trying to trust my instinct this month instead of following a plan.

Ye that's true and oh good luck to you that's probably the best way because you know what your feeling better than what a opks or app can tell you this was my first month trying both opks and using a syringe and I bought them on the Thursday had a feeling on Friday and got my + opks so we had used the syringe the night before then a night after the + we have also dtd lots too over the month but just more for us not for ttc when will you be due af I am due anywhere between 2/2 and 6/2 as this last month I started 4 days early so don't know how long my cycle will be this month

Good luck for this month baby dust to you xxx

Think I am due around 9th/10th feb. We dtd syringe 3 days in a row which we never do...much better trusting my body and less stressful. Good luck! x
