Hiya everyone

Had 12wk scan a couple of weeks back and gave lots of blood etc. Then today I get a letter saying an additional appointment has been made for me in the feto-maternal medicine unit haematology dept next Tuesday!

So I've immediately gone into panic mode! I know I'm not rhesus negative so it's not that I need anti-D, but my mum had DVT when she was little which I mentioned at my last appointment - I think one of the bloods I had done was to check that so now I'm really worried!

I know it's not for my blood screening checks as I've got that next Friday with community mw...

Any ideas what it might be?

Had appointment this morning, and apparently they found Factor V Leiden in my bloods, which means I more prone to DVT and will have to inject myself for six weeks after the birth

Anyone else have this? And what's it like injecting yourself, I'm really scared

Its something I know nothing about but didnt wanna just read and run and wanted to give you some hugs hun

i had the injections everyday while i was in hospital (13) days and then for a week after i came home and they arnt to bad hun they sting like hell for a few seconds but its not to bad
