Just had a phone call from the clinic I had my nuchal scan at last week...well they left me a message saying i had to ring them as soon as i got the message. :(

I was sh*tting it....my heart was pounding, i am still waiting for the blood results, so thought it was going to be awful news...i was almost in tears. Then they tell me my bloods have been 'lost in the post'!!!!!!!

So i can either have them retaken tomorrow night or go on the scan result and have a partial refund! Problem is we live ages away from clinic and had to have time off to go to original appointment? What do i do?
My scan results were pretty good and 80% accurate, doing the bloods takes it to 90%.....shall i just stick to the scan and put the refund money towards a 4d scan??????

If you find out what sort of blood tube they need the blood in, can your doc surgery not take it and then you can post it to them?

Hmm, never thought of that, thing is, they send it from Cardiff to London to the fetal medicine college, so not sure. Will ask them when they call me though? ta :)

I think if it were me then I would have to ask myself what I would do if the results of the blood test came back with a high risk result. If you feel you would go on for further tests to find out for sure, then I would have the blood test redone. If you feel that regardless of the blood test result you would avoid further tests, then just go on the scan results and take the refund.

What does your other half think?

Same as u. he thinks we should be glad the scan results are good, go with that and use the refund to pay for a 4d one later in the year! :)
