Olympics Opening Ceremony

I am watching it a behind everyone else, but so far I am bored lol

I liked the music montage but there's a lot to take in, some of it is a bit crazy lol

I'm enjoying it ... Admittedly I've never heard of half these places!

Please excuse any typos from my fat fingers!

im enjoying it too :) and i think little lady is too kicking and wriggling away hehe i swear though that some of the places are made up! ive not ever heard of some of them! lol xx

I didn't watch it - everytime I think of the Olympics it infuriates me, so thought I best switch off lol :D

I watched, I liked it but it's not exactly what I wanted from it ifykwim. I would prefer more about the history if Britain than the most contemporary things. But it wasn't so bad :)

Part of it annoyed me so switched off. The games are being held in the UK and for some reason they thought it right to do introductions in French and then English!? what was up with that? Shouldn't it have been the other way around?

I mean who introduces the Queen in French and then English when she's in her own country?

2 mins later I just changed channel.

French is the official Olympics language you know. The Queen was picking her nails, bless. I really liked it

Am I the only one who had really strange dreams / nightmares after watching it? :oooo:

I'm sorry that Voldemort would scare the pants off anyone!

That was my highlight...she really was not bothered. I had a nap when the countries were being announced as that was like OMG why have I been watching this for 2 hours and they are only on C. Woke up to see the torch and fireworks which were good. Thought the beginning was visually stunning. I do think middle section was a little confused....but understood what they were trying to do. I just don't think international viewers would have 'got' it.

Overall I enjoyed it and I don't think we embarrassed ourselves.

xx
