Ok... Me being me... I couldn't just leave it could I....Noooo I had to go and research this subject.

I had a scan two weeks ago, and the consultant was worried because my amniotic fluid was low. He advised me to drink more and that he would monitor me much more closely... Have me back for another scan in three weeks (so next week)...

So, I've been drinking, and drinking, and facing the terrible consequences of requiring to pee several million times a day...but I couldn't just leave it... No I went off and looked up on the internet...

Well I've only gone and blo*dy well scared myself stupid haven't I!!!??

   Cleaver squiglet....

Now medical journals are always...."worse case senario", but either way it doesn't look good that its low this early in my pregnancy, and the whole, drink more water isn't that successful at curing the problem. I just wanted to know if anyone on this forum has had the same thing, and what are the true outcomes, what is likely to happen?

Oh yes...and please congratulate me on my increasing stupidity... I take a bow...

I had the opposite - poly - too much. Thank god there was no internet at the time  because the most common cause of that is chromosomal abnormalities and I would have worried myself sick - instead I gave birth prematurely becuase of it and it contributed to my son's club feet, but they were easy things to overcome - but sometimes internet info focuses on worst case scenario. Sometimes there's no cause and no ill effects - hope someone answers you who knows about this
