...to get mastitis after bf for 10 months? Now, i'd always thought you got it when your milk came in, but on friday night i started feeling really rough, and by saturday I had a temp. of 38.5, a sore head, and my boobys were agony. they were also really red and kind of swollen. I never,ever sleep during the day, I rarely did even after my section, but I slept pretty much all day yesterday, I just felt like i couldn't move. I'm alright today, breasticles still a little tender and I'm still alittle tired but apart from that, i'm fine Just wondered

A bit of googling seems to show you can get mastitis b/f a baby at any age.

Aw sorry to hear this Rebecca - it does sound like mastitis - maybe best to get some b/feeding friendly antibiotics to help clear it up.

Has Willow cut out any feeds suddenly recently?

Ive got/ just had mastitus and Ellies nearly 5months so as far as im aware you can get it at any time whilst breastfeeding Hope your feeling better soon x

Aw crap... I'll maybe saunter down to open surgery on Tuesday if I'm still not my usual cheery little self... not too fussed on the idea though, as wouldn't be suprised if they advise me to stop bf, sure i'll ignore them anyway
