For the last couple of weeks I have tried to remain as active as possible, and been coping with my new size quite well.

Everything changed yesterday.....

I took my dog on her usual 2 mile walk, halfway round the woods I had to sit on a bench and rest, and once I got home spent the rest of the evening in agony with my back, and pelvis (oh and somehow I also managed to put my shoulder out). Ever since I have waddled around the house, climbing the stairs hurts, getting dressed hurts, and turning over in bed was murder - plus I kept waking all night with such severe hip/leg joint pain, I somehow think its not going to get any better now, so have decided to give in and stop the very long walks and trying to be so active!!!

Oh and now everytime I sneeze I wet myself........so feel more like a 90 year old than a girl in her 30's

Im hoping Im not alone and there are lots of other people feeling like their bodies dont belong to them anymore!!!

oh no i am with you hun, my body is soooo not mine i am trying to bribe my baby out at the moment so i can get back some control over my body lol.

I am in constant pain, joints, tummy, back so i really cant walk far i also cant sleep at the moment either

oh hun, I really don't know how you have managed to keep active for so long!

I was in absolute agony after walking a couple of miles at 30 weeks for a halloween event and vowed not to do it again! @ the end of our travels I just couldn't manage the same amount of walking and feel the same now. You should really take it easy and get yourself some rest  , its not worth hurting yourself over..

I must admit I have the same sneezing symptom
I can barely climb the stairs into our room, we kind of have like a ladder thing as we live the loft. Not entirely practical but I refuse to move rooms just yet! This is something I feel is necessary to continue, walking your dogs and overexerting yourself isn't hun!!

take it easy, we will get our bodies back.... eventually :D it will all be worth it in the end, right?

EllieBelle i know just how your feelin.

I threw in the towel last weeks after a 5hr Christmas shopping trip around the Trafford Centre ( shopping center in the north west!)
I waddled my way round slowly with my OH getting sympathetic smiles off all the mums with new babies so i must of looked like i was struggling.
Ive even resorted to lowering the ironing board so i can sit on the sofa and do the ironing cos my hips ache so much if i stand for too long and im thinking of putting a chair next to the cooker so i can cook sitting down too!

Im actually quite worried about how im going to manage over the next few weeks, it's only gonna get harder!!!

The worst thing for me though is trying to get to sleep. I had a bit of a funny turn last night, my LO must of been pressing against a lung cos i woke up in a panic not being able to breath properly. Im also suffering from restless legs and just generally twitchy all over at bedtime. :(

aww, i feel the same hun, im usually very active but gave up a few weeks ago

Yep and me - made myself feel quite ill in Austria trying to shop like I usually would with my brother :( .

 Tena lady are my new best friend  Its not only if I sneeze, its if I cough or laugh too!!

I have to also admit some nights I just feel like I want it to end... as much as I love to feel the baby move sometimes it actually hurts and I feel really fedup!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one as I was beginning to feel like a terrible mum.

OMG 5 hours in the Trafford centre!!!    I cant stand 5 minutes in there! Too crowded and busy and noisy and suffocating and shops! hahaha yeh I dont like shopping lol! (though I do love the Asda across the way lol)

 Im the same! With all the pains and aches constantly I cant wait for her to be born! Though the other half of me is too tired for labour and the responsibility of a newborn lol!

Oh god I'm the same! I take paracetemol before going to bed to help me get comfortable only to wake up later in agony because I've lain in teh same position too long. Even a trip round ASDA leaves me in pain. I don't mind most of the other pregnancy niggles but when basic functions like going upstairs to the loo are painful it's so easy to feel down. One thing I long for is to climb into bed and just be comfortable.

Then when I can be comfortable in bed I'll be moaning about the lack of time I get to spend there!!

LOL.. you've done well to last as long as you did. YOu sound like a stubburn one like me. I remember posting on here about leaving work earlier than planned.. i just felt like a failure.

Listen to your body, its now telling you to slow down. Oh and i did the same the other day when i sneezed. Also got a damn cough which isnt helping matters!

I completely understand how you feel. Just going into town and pushing my little one in her buggy for half an hour leaves me in agony for the rest of the day, so to walk 2 miles daily is fantastic, you must be so fit. I also seem to wet myself, but only when Im being sick

awww hun

I can sympathise.... I too get a sore back/hips after walking too much or doing too much...
Saturday I amused myself around the shops while OH was away playing football....2.5hours....way too long, by the end my back felt like it had two steel rods down it, it was that stiff :(

tena lady is also my best friend too.... at the age of 26, I can only laugh at it!! sneeze, cough and even if I make a sudden movement and baby presses on my bladder....oooo nice! :wall:
