Oh my... What a week!!!!

Hi ladies,

I've had the most horrendous week...

I got an abscess on my groin, had IV antiobiotics for a week, they didnt touch it so yesterday I had to have a general anaesthetic to have an incision and drainage!

I'm fine now and baby is fine, was so worried being put to sleep, especially as they said I may go into labour, but baby is still comfy in my tummy! I'm 37+1 so Id like to go a little closer to my due date lol!

Hope everyone is doing ok??

Is anyone else around 37 weeks and having period like cramping??

Oh my, you have had a bad week. Glad your ok. I'm 36+4, I'm just uncomfortable now. I will give baby a couple more weeks then hopefully it will make its way out lol xx

Ah that sounds awful!! Glad it is sorted now and baby is staying put I'm 36+6 but not having any period pains or any signs of things moving at all - I think this bubs is too comfy! I think period pains are pretty normal at this stage though xx

Well ive been having them on and off for 2 weeks, baby was monitored before and after the op and there were no signs of labour or distress so I'm sure it's nothing! Anything could happen at this point though =\ getting very nervous now xxx

Hi Colleen, sorry to hear you are having a rough time. Yes I have been having them with lots of other things... Tightenings, sickness, diahorrea, dull back ache. I got checked at hospital and they said I was fine. Could be the way that gratin hicks present with you.

Yeah maybe I didn't think of that, coz ive not had any braxton hicks, but this is my first so I'm going by what other people have described them like! Oh you sound you have been having a rough time too as long as everything is ok though, won't be long and all our little babies will be here xxx
