Because my sickness has been really bad the last few weeks im just happy to eat what ever i can, when i can but OH is having a constant go at me because everything i seem to eat is 'junk food' and im going to be putting more weight on than baby weight!
Im normally very healthy, eat atleast 6/7 pieces of fruit or veg a day and very really eat 'junk food' but i just cant seem to face the healthy option at the moment.
Is anyone else struggling with their OH being very over-protective? Its doing my head in, arrrrgghhh x x

yep...mine was the same with me when i was pregnant....they should learn not to wind up a hormonal woman!!! lol xx

my fella had ago at me last night for not eating some of the pizza because i felt sick i dont listen anymore they just dont get what we have to go through you just have to tell him its only going to be like this for couple of weeks till you get about 14 weeks and can get back to eating healthy x

Mine didnt say anything even when I was living off jacket potatoes and bread. If he did say anything, I would have smacked him. In the tri1 you eat what you can stomach, I couldnt even face vegetables, I did like tangerines and oranges though. Tell him to p!ss off, its not him who is feeling sick.

Oooh i did this morning, his answer to it was it cant be good for me. The annoying thing is he was never like this with Adam x x

What is good for you that you can eat anything at all. After 12 weeks you can eat healthily, I started eating cereal in the morning after 12 weeks, before that the only thing I could eat was apple turnovers from nearby Tesco:roll:

The baba will be fine, you are taking folic acid, right? Babies will take what they need from you anyway.

I'm sure I've read on quite a few websites that you should eat whatever you want in the first trimester, and you will have plenty of time to catch up with healthy food later.

Maybe you should find such website and show it to your OH?

Mine moaned at me yesterday because I couldn't decide what to eat! Grrr! He picked me up to go out for the day and was suggesting places, and I couldn't stomach the thought of any of them! He couldn't understand :( We ended up settling for cheesy bites pizza (only ever had it like once before) but it was the only thing that didn't make me feel sick! x

Your body will have good stores of stuff for the baby from before you were pregnant so remind him of that, it's only for a few weeks, your better eating something than nothing! There are advantages to having a hubby that works away off shore lol!

All the ladies are right, you wont put on any weight during first tri, it would only be if you ate the wrong things non stop that you would put on extra weight.

Just dont tell him what you're eating. looool men are so insensitive sometimes.

I got a comment off mine last week, I said something about feeling sick and his reply was...you're always feeling sick...wow thanks - SLAP.

OMG Littlemiss i'd have killed my OH for saying that! It's all fine for them isn't it! lol x I don't think they realise what its like for us ladies! Hehe x

I just remind my OH "If only it was as easy for us to get the babies out as it was to get them in" x :)

Then he shuts up x lol

Yeah he tried to make a joke out of it, his usual way of getting away with things loool

my OH has been through it already with 2 little ones and loves my size and doesnt care if I eat more crap and put more weight on (I do though! lol) so to be fair, hes been brilliant :)

My OH has been great too, he says as long as I'm eating something it doesn't matter what. I haven't been up to going shopping with him for weeks so he gets me to write a list of what I want and then goes and picks it up! He even went to 3 different supermarkets last weekend to pick up all the gluten free foods I wanted! I know I am so lucky to have him! :)

My OH has been going mad at me because he has been really fancying a good Indian (hard to come by in Germany!) And because I really cannot stand the thought of eating a heavy curry and all that after taste he gets a right cob on!

I'd like to think they'd cope a lot better in pregnancy if it were the other way round, but really they would be 10x worse & actually don't know anything they are talking about!

You bloody eat what you like!
