They always do - even if its not in the way you think eventually it all works out for the best. I see no serious reason that your relationship can't work out,
All thats happened really is he F**ked up and met this lass maybe not realising how angry it would make you, he probably saw it as innocent and a friend, he did tell you about it on the plus (if he wanted an affair or anything he wouldn't have told you) however your hurt and upset because he left you out and didnt tell you before he went what was happening.
Really its all communication, it could have all been solved if he had mentioned this friend to you, you could have talked about it and you could have gone with him or he could have not gone. I think a big old fashioned sitting down and talking is in order. make it clear why you feel upset (he was caught texting before) and maybe he can see it from your side.
I told you i dont want to be harsh just fair if you sort this out and move on im sure your relationship will be much stronger.
