October sunshine!

Just booked the dogs into kennels for a week in October! Got any suggestions as to where we should look to go? Hopefully we can get a late deal nearer the time as we're not too fussy where we end up!

Abroad or in Britain?

Abroad there will prob be loads of cheap deals as it's not half term or summer... spain/turkey/south france?

Or if you want a cold type hol, head to lake district lakeside cabins or cottages, or go round the lochs in scotland? Lovely scenery, not too expensive either, but you probably won't get the sun you'd get abroad!

Spanish places are quite nice at that time of year - not busy and still warm. We went to Ibiza during Oct h/t as a last min deal - not my cup of tea - but it was actually lovely because there was no one there and it was the last week of the season.

I had a look on last minute and it's looking like Spain, Portugal or Malta might be cheapest for a late deal! It would be nice to go abroad as the weather here has been pants so far hasnt it?

I'd say greece because I love the country. I would go to the greek mainland- there is so much to see. Olympia, the parthanon, the corinth canal, we went on an amazing trip on a train through a canyon (sp) it was beautiful
