october babies & walking

how many of the october 2010 babies are walking?
tegan can do about 9/10 steps really well but just can't be bothered and would rather crawl!

lots of the babies of her age at group are now walking and i'm getting sick to death of hearing 'is she walking yet' even my dad has started now everytime he calls me he asks!

Drake isn't. He's not interested! Everytime i stand him up he goes straight to the floor and crawls. When he's standing up against the couch he can let go for a bit if he's ingrossed in something but when he realises what he's doing he grabs the couch again lol

Charley will let go of things now and stands unsupported for about 5 seconds but that's it. I've seen him take 1 step if that counts and OH saw him take 2 steps last week but he just doesn't seem intrested!
Lacey didn't walk until 15 months so I'm not bothered!

h is walking around but he finds it hard going from sitting to standing he has problems with balance but the past wk he's really excelled and noticed it today at baby group!!

Well done h! i think that's why Tegan isn't walking as she takes about 9 steps then falls & can't get up again unless she crawls to something to pull up on! x

Jasper has JUST started and he is a July baby!

dont worry! as long as they are pulling themselves up and down on stuff, they are strengthening the muscles they need for walking

Noa is really strong n got a impressive balance, he don't need anything to hold on to to get up n down n he oftern sit down without his bum touching the floor ifkwim n he's up n down like that. He can walk but don't want too, most I've seen is 11 steps but he start to let go more n more.

A boy at babygroup is 18 month n is just laying flat on the floor, he can pull himself forward but not get in crawl possition and hardley keep his. Head up, I haven't seen him roll either. The mum haven't mentioned it so I don't know what's wrong or if the mum is in denial. He's so small aswell bless him. He's like a 4monthold.

Joshua just walks now everywhere. He can stand up without holding on to anything and just legs it everywhere. There's a girl at his childminders who's the same age and vary crawls yet so don't worry hun! X

Thanks girl, i guess she'll do it when's she's ready! i think what's bothering me is i KNOW she can do it but she doesn't bother lol x

Well tonight I have found out h can stand up on his own as long as e thinks noone is watching him!!! Lol!just keep an eye on her as you may find he's doing it on the sly!

I think some babies are happy to just go for it and some are more cautious and wait a little while before they know exactly what they are doing!

Jasper still doesnt walk much on his own, he holds hands with me everywhere but occasionally he will let go and take a couple of steps, giggle at himself and reach out for a hand hes a funny baby!

Bless him, Tegan walks really well holding just one hand & when she takes steps on her own she's really good but it seems like she's missing the confidence, she also crawls so quickly that walking probably seems silly! its amazing how all babies are so different x

Yes Jasper seems to think crawling is 'the way' but i can see him starting to realise that walking is the next step I love watching him develop bless him

It's definately down to confidence with Drake too. He's been letting go a lot more this weekend and he's getting quick at cruising so we'll see.

Isla prefers to crawl, she's super fast as well. She likes standing and stands alone for ages but won't walk on her own. If I take a hand away she stands still waiting and trying to grab my hand.

With her walker she's brill! Has load of confidence but won't walk. Xx

ALfie can take one of two steps then collapses and crawls off really fast! he is lazy, would rather crawl. xx

Tegan has been walking loads this evening but has no idea how to get up once she falls down so just crawls! x

That's what h has been ding but if he jinks your not watching he can stand up himself!his past wk hes been walking more than crawling!
