Vampys 8am in the morning hopefully LO will behave at such a early time comparing to usal jumps in the afternoon :) what time is yours? I bet it will be lovely for your mum to see Joey :)

We went to mothercare today to get a swimming maternity tankini for our holidays starting on Friday!!! Love it navy tankini with little pink polks dots... looking seriously cool and showing lovely bump :)
3 day to see bubba again and 4 days until we will take him for his first holidays and swimming :P
 
Where are you going on holiday Kat ? We are going away for a few days in a couple of weeks , just to get away from all the decorating .
 
Claire, we going for a week in Corfu. Where are you going?
 
That's sounds lovely Kat I could do with going somewhere hot. We are just having a Friday to Monday in north Devon. We had our "last " holiday abroad just the 2 of us last September in tenerife .

Kat it's at 11.20 so not too long a wait. I don't like when the appointments are in the afternoon lol

Vampy, my scan is also at 11.20 tomorrow :) It's handy being a bit later as it gives me a bit of time to open presses with Max and get organised in the morning.

Right off to Pumpkin Patch website for a nose :) xxx

We've got a bank holiday today but I've got to work from home. I simply can't wait for the summer holidays at the beginning of July.

Has anyone been getting comments about their size? My family in law and work have started saying how big I am for 5 months and how a lot of ladies are that FAT when they're about to give birth... As you can imagine it's making me feel great. I know I've got a large bump, that's where I'm carrying all the weight. From behind I don't even look pregnant. But I wish people would keep unflattering comments like that to themselves as it's making me feel bad about my belly and it's upsetting. I'm really trying not to eat too much either. OH eats waaaay more than I do in a day.

Pips, I feel for you. My friend and colleague is 5 weeks ahead of me in her pregnancy with her little boy, but my bump is much bigger than hers, so people feel the need to point that out of course. I'm ok though, I tend to carry a lot of water too, and at my scan baby was measuring just fine.

I agree, people can be insensitive though. Would they comment as much if we weren't pregnant??! Doubt it! Try (as hard as it is) to ignore those sorts of comments - you're healthily pregnant :)

I'm 22 weeks today, may be a silly question but what is this v day? I only ever used that for valentines lol!

Oh pips people keep saying to me that I must be so disappointed to have put weight back on after just losing it before the pregnancy! I just reply that putting on weight is part of having a healthy pregnancy which is my concern and I will deal with weightloss afterwards! So annoying people can't keep their opinions to themselves xx
 
Naomi, V day means viable day. Basically, you've hit 24 weeks, so if something were to happen and you had a premature baby, it just means baby is more likely to survive outside of the womb, although this is not a guarantee. It's just another milestone that feels amazing to reach!!

Ohhhh I see! Wow I can't wait to reach that! 2 weeks to go :) I can't believe we are getting towards that stage now! Thanks for explaining it :) xx
 
V day also means, if lord and behold baby is born sleeping by law you will get a death certificate and it's not a misscarriage anymore.
chances of survival after 24th week are higher, however still dangerous.

I don't have my scan till Thursday, so does kat lol so we still have a few days to go.

taffy how did your scan go? And how is little man's birthday?

Aww yeah I did happen to see in my works maternity policy that a loss after 24 weeks still entitles you to full maternity benefits so must be for that reason also. Yes I can imagine still very dangerous so early on, hopefully our lil ones will stay cooking for a good few months yet!

Happy Birthday to Max. Hope he has had a fab day so far! Can't beleive he is 2 now. I've still got 4 weeks til Harry's 2nd birthday. Crazy as our due dates were days apart lol Hope your scan went well as well today xx
