****October 2014 mummies****

Good luck with your scans today, let's hope today will be a happier place and you all get the good outcome you wanted. TBH I found yesterday an uncomfortable place to be. It shows we are all different with very different opinions , I suppose the world would be a very dull place if we all thought the same. Sometimes its very hard to hold your tongue in when when you don't agree with something.
That's all I have to say now and I look forward to hear how the scans went today.

Thanks Kat! And so we learn that at 20 weeks baby is producing more meconium. Great! Haha

I assume you are talking about my post yesterday, and can i just apologize to you for not being as perfect as you obviously are!! I came on here for some support on a delicate matter, which i did get off the other ladies and to be honest i don't need you trying to make me feel any worse than i already do!

Daisy everyone is allowed their own opinion. I was quiet myself as I felt uncomfortable with what you wrote. However I don't think she personally attacked you in any way. She is allowed her opinion like you have yours. Doesn't make anyonr perfect at all.

Kat, I am so excited about all these scans now. And to be part of everyone's special time is brilliant.
It's a some exciting few weeks now

firstly was i even speaking to you?? No i didn't think so!well you can all have what ever opinion of me as you like. Good luck ladies with your pregnancies hope everything goes well.

Daisy. While your post can come across as somewhat shocking at first, it is also you being very honest and probably saying what others may not feel brave enough to- not that I am saying that anyone else has had the same response to their scan as you.

Some of us probably go into the scan hoping for a certain outcome. When that doesn't happen, some are ok about it and others can take it hard. After all if you expect something and don't get it, it can be upsetting. That being said, I have no doubt that very soon you will get over the shock and start becoming excited about your little boy. It may not happen until he is actually here, but I am sure that you will adore your Boy.

Yes we could all say to you that you should be pleased with a healthy child, but like I said previously, if you expect something and don't get it, the results can be upsetting to some and the intial shock/upset can be strong. I suppose the lesson is that we should never expect to receive something that we want - but life would be dull otherwise.

ANYWAY, we are all entitled to our opinions and the forum is here for us to seek comfort and advice in one another. We may not agree with what there say, we should be respectful of all opinions and offer what support we can. After all we must consider that the way we express ourselves on "paper" can be interpreted incorrectly and our views may make us judge a person without taking time to consider ones emotional state or what they actually are trying to write/communicate.

Go on, spill the beans, did you see anything that made you try to guess the sex? Have you got a gut feeling?

Nope I didn't see anything :) I said to the lady at the start that we didn't want to know and she said she would do her best to avoid the area! She did keep pointing out the cord incase we thought it was something else ;) I have a feeling it's a boy just to be awkward because we are struggling for boys names lol x
