****October 2014 mummies****

Haha all the confessions are coming out of the woodwork now! And now I don't feel as bad lol! I deffo think we can't miss a bargain when we find them there is no point hanging around! It's a lovely cot bed :) mine will be delivered at the end of June, and I wasn't going to build it straight away but DH said he wants to do it when it arrives so we know all is ok with it which makes sense I suppose! It will feel strange having a nursery in July with 3 months still to go!!

Yea Claire Louise we are doing the same and keeping the bigger room as a spare bedroom :)

xxx

Yeah, yeah anyone else want to own up about ordering furniture lol

Tinks that sleigh cot is the one that I had my eye on its so nice, and it will fit in the bedroom

I love it and it's so solid. Some sleighcotbeds are extortionately priced! I think silvercross do one, but it's nearly double the price. We've spent a little more on the cot as we already have 2 sets of solid pine chest of drawers that we are getting painted. I'm going to change the knobs on it to ceramic ones. They have multi colour polka dots and pinwheels on :-)

Yeah and the draw underneath is so handy if the bedrooms so small :-)

Multi colour polka dots sound cool you should keep them on :-) :-)

We haven't opened the boxes yet, I really want to but hubby said no :-( plus we get a year guarantee anyway. 3 months is the recommended time to have nursery ready to let everything air and decorating smells to subside. Think we will start decorating end of June beginning of July. Can't wait to start filling the nursery with all the gorgeous little clothes etc :-)

We're not buying any new furniture for lo as yet. Possibly a tall boy set of drawers.
My dd is moving into the bigger spare room so the nursery will be free but we need a full spare room for our visitors (we love 400miles from home).
I feel bad that we aren't doing up a nursery this time but I'll be be getting new bedding etc for baby's cot.

The thought of swapping the rooms around is dressing me out already.
The idea being that both the children will share a room for a while.

Sorry claire prob didn't explain properly. The New ceramic ones are the multi colour ones :-) want to accent colour into the room so it's easy to change as baby gets older.

We are decorating our dining room at the moment so our house is a tip my living room now has a 10 seater table in it and the conservatory is full up with chairs. Next is the living room we are decorating , then the bathroom until we even thing about babies room . These next few months are gunna do my head in :-(

I feel your pain with the decorating and having things everywhere Claire, we are currently building a utility room on the back of our house so there's stuff everywhere. Then we want to re-tile the bathrooms and I need to sort out the kids rooms, there just seems like so much to do! We'd love to move to a bigger house but won't be able to do that for a couple of years xxx

Well I haven't made any big purchases and I haven't done any recent decorating lol xx but.....may be looking at moving soon xxx must be bonkers :) xxx

I would love to move to a bigger house, even though the one we live in is bigger than both our childhood homes, we have so much crap and not
enough space for it all lol. I don't know what we are going to do when we have kids filling it, its bad enough us two and our doggy lol

I know what u mean Claire. The bit I dread most is the attic! 11 years of junk and bits and bobs! It'll either be heavily pregnant or with 2 children (one being a newborn) arghh xx oh yes and a hyper dog! Xxx

We haven't even had our house 4 years yet and we couldn't put anymore in the attic lol, our garage is full of paving slabs and brand new doors that we bought years ago and haven't put up yet, we've even got a bathroom suite still boxed up in the spare bedroom I'm in , now that I'm pregnant Mark is panicking and with the help of our family hopefully the house will be sorted before the health visitor turns up lol

Heather we have a photo frame like that with scan picture on it , instead of its a boy :-)

Wow! a busy day in here. I've been at work today, just got in so will update the list tomo. Seems a lot of boys :-) although everyone I knew had girls when I had abi! Hope everyone is well xx

Congrats to those who've had scans in the last day or so :)

I've been nursery furniture shopping today too! Not ordered yet but decided on the oak mamas and papas Rialto cotbed, wardrobe and chest of drawers :) bit worried the room will be cramped though because it's not big and got a single bed for oh's son to get in there aswell! Didn't realise how pricey it would get with mattress sheets bedding etc etc!! Xx

That's the furniture we have for abi and will be passed to baby. we have in cream but it's a lovely strong set xx

Congratulations Heather on your boy! and congratulations babyphoenix on your girl!

Busy Sunday, Coach i love your set! When i had a look i liked similar beige and oak Tutti Bambini set... but first need to get a house to get it for, we decided that for firt 6mts baby will sleep with us anyway so no need to get it sorted yet... let's wait for bubba first...
