****October 2014 mummies****

After yesterdays trainee midwife not finding babies heartbeat. What did my OH Mark went and done, he ordered a Doppler after I said I didn't want one cus I worry too much. I told him if the trainee midwife can't find one what chance have we got. He recons we can do a better job at finding it than she did. So beware in a couple of days I will sure be moaning on here because I can't find any heartbeat.

Has anyone else got a Doppler and is it easy enough for 2 idiots like us to find the heartbeat?

Naomi - the I candy you was looking at how much was it? I really love them but I don't think my budget will go
that far for the travel system I need . Xxx

The one I was looking at and love is the peach 3 but was quoted a massive £895 for the frame, carrycot, seat, adapters and that was with a free maxi cosy car seat... Pricey! Also looked at the cherry which I was quoted £604 for the same equipment so still a lot! I've also looked at the silver cross wayfarer but that's about the same price as the cherry! Decisions decisions lol xx

I also had my midwife appointment today! Found a strong heartbeat with a rate of about 155bpm so she guessed a girl, but I've been hearing that's not very accurate. Feel
A bit relieved after hearing it though as been so worried last few days xx

My goodness, this thread is getting so busy now :)

A colleague said to me today 'ooh you look really pregnant today'. My reply 'no shit, I really am'. And so the opinions on finding out the baby's sex have started, whether I should find out or not etc etc. arghh!
Hope everyone's having a good day xxxx

Haha beci people have asked my if I'm finding out and when I tell them no they seem to shut up lol

I decided against buying a doppler as I'm sure I would just freak if we had troubles finding the heartbest, my midwife appointment the last week of march the midwife had a hard time finding the heartbeat because our baby is a real wriggler so I just had visions of me there for days and no joy with finding a heartbeat and then just being reduced to tears for no reason.

CoachQueenie my friend just told me today that she never felt her daughter move or kick/punch at all during her pregnancy, even during her ultrasounds when she could see her daughter moving she did not feel a thing. I read that sometimes if it is your first baby it can take 20+ to feel some moving.

My son was really chilled the whole way through my pregnancy and although I did feel movement de didn't bother to kick much. This one is already a gymnast, on the scan they wouldn't keep still and when the mw was listening to the heartbeat she had to chase the baby around my tummy so I'm guessing it's going to be a right wriggler xxx

I am going to continue my rant day by saying that i dislike manipulative people i.e MIL!

She wants her sons to go to the football. I mention costs with DH and think about how i have to be at Home all day on my on after a long working week. Wouldnt be as much as a problem of we weren't already out all day on the sunday!

So, before she leaves she says "oh ill pay for you". Kind offer and really Nice. DH says he Will think about. So she just has to throw in one last "oh well i dont mind. Otherwise ill just hâve to watch it on my own at home".

Why throw that in? You choose to spend excessive Time in the UK instea of staying out un Spain with your DH. Why pull the "im so lonesome card" when you choose to stay here?

Grrr. I'm not normally bothered but it seems that pregnancy brings out my sensitive side!

Anyway! Yay for all the acrobatic babies (including my own) And boo to people staying thé obvious!

I can't talk about football , I've been going since I was 5 years old and I hope to go as much next season as I can. At least for you its nearly the end of the football season so he will be able to stay at home until august.

Anyway. Lets get over that now! Lets go for positive news! :-)

Aww why didn't they do heartbeat? Thats a shame kat
On nappies we will use normal ones. I want to breastfeed again, so only gonna get a few bottles to start.
But we haven't got much yet. Some clothing we were given, a moses basket and that's all so far lol

At least you didn't have to go through the trainee midwife not finding the heartbeat scare like I did lol :-)
