****October 2014 mummies****

That sounds like a plan, I will get a 19 week bump pic up on Thursday also :D. I can notice the difference between my bump 2 weeks ago and this week, when I was getting my wedding dress on there was a bump but now it is nearly sicking out more than my boobs lol. Twins do run in my family and I was convinced early on I would be having twins but so far only one baby on my 9w 5d scan and only one heartbeat the past two midwife visits.

I miss so many things lol but if I was back in the UK it wouldn't be so bad apart from the steaks. There is this stuff over here called filet americain that is basicly just raw puréed steak that I really really miss and ofc ice cream mans ice cream lol.

Thank you, I still can't believe the woman in that picture is me lol. I never wear makeup and I rarely wear dresses. xx

Oh and I was wondering what that team yellow was about lol

Aww Claire Louise! Don't you be worrying one bit... Easier said than done but worrying won't change anything! They don't test for downs here in N.Ireland so I'm totally clueless! don't fret :) x

claire_louise I choose not to get the downs test done mainly because it wad going to cost us 300 euros for the scan and the bloods and then more if it looked like high risk. Hubby wanted to do it because he was of the opinion that if it looked like our kids was going to have downs that we would abort but after me telling him that I would not abort if our child had downs or anything else we came to the agreement that it was a bit pointless to do the test then as it wouldn't really matter to us if it was highly likely for downs.

I hope that you can get your mind on other things, you do not need extra worrying. I'm sure if the drs were really considered you would of hear something on the day you got your results. xxx

Most of the time this forum is great other times some things I read just makes me worry. There's a post that's has come up about the down syndrome blood test screening and after seeing what others have posted what there results were, mine doesn't look so great compared to all the others. :-(

I know it's easy to stress out about everything Hun xx the results are not watertight for anyone even those with the seemingly lowest risk still have a tiny amount of risk x I have my test on thurs this week which seems really late xxx

I thought mine were really good for my age and I know they would have called me back, they just seem crappy compared to the ones I've seen :-(

Aww bless Hun xx believe me there are a million things that can't even be screened for which carry just as many worries as Down syndrome. My little boy has autism and he is my world. He's awesome in every way which xx I believe we are all given what we can handle and if I happen to have another child with any difficulties, developmentally or physical then I know I have just as much love to give to them too xxx I'm sure everything will be ok for you Hun, it's just a number and not a guarantee xxxxx

Claire, don't worry about it. They all seem very different. I remember when my mum was pregnant with my sister she had to go for a special scan because her blood results were showing signs of spina bifida. When she had the scan the guy who's done it said it's ridiculous my sister was fine. Problem is they have like a standard sheet for blood tests and s soon you are a little overweight or something else which is not "normal" they panic people.
I live by that now and don't worry in the slightest about it.

@coachqueenie, I love love love your bag. It looks really nice. Well done on getting it lol

Please don't worry Claire. For people having second babies they can compare bloods to level in previous pregnancy which often leads to much Lower risk numbers but they don't always do that. Your risk is really low please don't panic.

Don't, I know easier said then done.
Hope you had a nice day?
We finally went looking at thousands of prams haha. And we actually found one we both liked. It's a hauck travel system, comes complete with footmuff, raincover, car seat and changing bag .. reduced from 350 to 179.99 at toys r us.
I had a look at an oyster one, but it was just a little too pricey for us...

Mustard its my first baby I just thought mine might be a bit higher. I just don't trust the stupid hospital that did the testing , I'm so glad I'm not having my child there.

Lynn my parents want to pay for our pram so I'm not complaining , I should have said I wanted a dearer one lol

Lucky you lol. My mum is giving us money towards it, but I still didn't want to go OTT. And I found cheaper doesn't mean worse. I had a hauck with my first son and had no problems at all with it. So much has changed in 11 years though and they don't really do "normal" prams anymore lol

My mum is no help with the modern day baby stuff even more has changed since my brother was born 27 yrs ago lol, Pampers was only just coming out then lol

My sister will be 17 end of this month, my baby sister lol and I sometimes argue with my mum about things... lol

Me too TwinklinPixi and vampysgirl! :)

I got it on http://www.babylurve.co.uk - free delivery on orders over £30! It was £44.95 but usually £79 ... Not quite as good as a bargain as shooting stars bag but I think the blooming gorgeous bag is a bit wider than the yummy mummy bag! So so pleased with my purchase :) yay! x

Haha shooting star - u have great taste lol.... Look what arrived for me today!!!!
