Ive got a nurse coming out to my house in the morning, she called a few days back and asked if it was ok to pop in and see how im doing, i said yeah obviously but why does she need to?

Im gonna clean my house in a mo so its clean and stuff im being paranoid i think but thats how they make you feel isnt it!?

does everybody get home visits at 5 months or am i being singled out?

I dunno but I wouldn't worry :) it's annoying having to panic about the house when they come round eh?

Yeah but you cant help but feel that they are judging you! to be fair my house isnt a mess but still gonna have to get the hoover out in the morning! blahh

I wouldn't stress about it. I guess they see it all. My HV was amazed I was dressed when she came - didnt have the heart to tell her it's only cos I don't wear jammies lol.

The one day I apologised for the mess, she said she'd be more concerned if I'd managed to have the place spotless with a new baby. Xxx

Yeah i guess so, because i want to talk to her about not feeling 'right' i dont want her to think im not coping, stupid really!! x

That's very strange for a NURSE to come out, especially at 5 months! I had a neonates nurse visit after L was in special care but that was it. Let us know what she came for cos that is really weird IMO

As a nurse myself whose been on home visits (not for babys) I can honestly say all I care about is that where I sit is clean, and that there's an empty sink somewhere for me to wash my hands. You'll always see nurses and midwifes look down at where they're about to sit about 2 seconds longer than your average guest it's hilarious you wait and see!

I'm so glad your going to have someone to talk to about that

Phewww!! Just called... They have nurses helping the HV do home visits in my area because they are so behind - it is just my 12-16 week home visit which I never had because they are so busy!!

Don't feel so para now!!

Ooo bless u Hun! Hope it goes well for u x

Apologies for any typos!

Thanks hun!

What a complete waste of worry and time!!

She came half an hour earlier than she was supposed to, she didn't know what BLW was, she had no answers for any questions I had and I told her I wasn't feeling myself still (which I was reluctant to do anyway) and she said "it's hard being a mum especially when your on your own I'd see how you go" it's nothing to do with me being on my bloody own and I've been seeing how I go for the last 5 months now wish I hadn't bothered saying anything!!!

Oh and I asked her for tips on how to get Ella bogeys out because she hates me touching her nose and an said

Hey Pringle

Don't really know what your situation is , but have u got anyone that can go to for support ?
