my m/c was confirmedl ast friday and on a normal cycle i would be ovulating round about now.

do i have to wait til i have had an af before i ovulate again or can i be ovulating now? obv i wont be trying just now as i am still bleeding but want something to focus on so i am trying to gather as much information as possible.

They do say that after a m/c you're much more fertile ~ which I think's true as I feel pregnant again the first proper cycle after the m/c.

I don't think I ovulated in the cycle from m/c to first af ~ I was checking with the ov kits ~ but that's not to say that you won't. They say it's best to wait until you have a proper cycle again to start trying again to make sure your body's back to normal after the trauma its been through; plus it helps them with dating!

You should start when you feel ready. We started trying straight away and didn't bother to wait because the way we figured, if my body was ready it would happen and if it wasn't then we'd just keep trying.

Good luck sweetie, I hope you're back with us in no time xx

They do say that physically as soon as you stop bleeding you are ok to go ahead and try again as long as there were no complications etc. Some sources say to wait a cycle to allow your body to return to normal, others say longer but this is usually from the viewpoint of emotional healing rather than any physical reason.

I was like you, I needed to get back on the horse (no pun intended). I caught straight away after m/c #1 and made myself wait a month before trying again after m/c #2 (purely because I thought 3 in a row would not be good for my body and I needed, physically, a break).

They say also that your cervix remains more open after loss and so you are essentially 'more fertile'.

As Hannah said, it's really up to when you feel ready although personally I would wait until the bleeding has stopped purely because of all the info that says you should.

Good luck to you hon

are u still getting bfp's? i would imagine u cannot get pregnant until the hcg is out of ur system from the last pregnancy

i started taking my temp after my m/c instead of going back on pill, and i think my luteal phase was only 11 days after the ovulation following the m/c so i dont think i was fertile. i had one period and got pregnant on my first proper cycle after my m/c so yes perhaps its true what those ladies say! /\

I stopped bleeding yesterday and planning to get straight back on the horse!
Weirdly I have done an opk test today and got a line!? so not really sure what to think, this is about the time I would have ovd if it had been a normal cycle but as ive just stopped bleeding im not sure whether I can get pg?
Im planning on doing a few more opks within the next couple of days just to see!

When I started bleeding last tuesday I went to the docs and had an internal scan etc, they said other than the obvious bleeding everything looked healthy and normal inside so although no more pg nothing should stop me getting pg again? they also told me that the thickness of my uterus was still healthy but im not sure whether that will now have reduced after bleeding for a week? It was the nurse who said wait until my 1st full cycle but she said this only so dating any future pg was easier?

Anyway, I would do a few opks just to check!

xx

We're not sure what to do atm either franky.
OH wants to wait until this cycle is out of the way to "see what happens"
but i think we might try this cycle anyways, it took us ages to get pregnant so i'm not expecting any miracles.
just have fun practising if you can
xx
