Freya has had a temperature for two days now, about 37.7 to 37.9 and she has a green snotty nose and a cough, my instincts tell me its a cold, there is a lot going round, but she is so tiny i don't know whether i should call the docs out of hours, i cant give her calpol for the temp as she is too little, and her hands and feet are cold, her trunk is warm, anyones baby got the same at the moment?

I would phone nhs direct. Altough the calpol bottle says not for under 3 months I gave Joe some at your babies age after speaking to a doc at nhs direct who agreed that it was just a cold and that I could administer some calpol.

Give them a call, i hope she is better soon.

I was told can have half dose of Calpol from 8 weeks, then full dose from 12 weeks.
If you are unsure just call NHS direct hun
You may find hands & feet are often cold, as the body will put more importance on keeping the body/ trunk warm than the hands & feet. Are you taking the temp under the armpit?
Try to keep her cool, by less clothes too (if you're not already)
Mommy cuddles are always good too :D

thank you, just called nhs direct, they said as she is under 2 months they want her seen so waiting for a gp to call

Hope she gets better soon.

NHS direct are great :)

How is she? always best to get these checked out even its for your own piece of mind. f she was admitted to hospital then she would be given cqlpol whatever age so a dose here and there is not going to hurt, hope all is well its horrible seeing our LO's poorly

Thanks guys  . she is ok got sent home with calpol, has woken up today with a sticky eye and nasty cough but her temperature is going down. NHS direct were good, you just want someone to say, go see the docs they wont mind.
Thamks again for your messages xxx

Glad all is ok, and that she got seen.
Hope she is back on top form ASAP
