I knew i wasn't going back but didn't hand in my notice untill a month before i was due to go back to work.

I'd phonr Citizens advice or speak to midwife as you don't want to do your self out of money!

I wouldn't mention it just give notice when you are on Maternity that you won't be going back

Just check your contract as if they pay you maternity sometimes you have to pay some back if you don't go back for a crtain length of time

I doubt if your midwife will go for fudging the date on your MATB1 certificate, as it's probably already recorded on your notes somewhere?

It is a shame though, you're so close to the new date! I bet you won't be the only one asking so you could try, you've nothing to lose!

My EDD is 31st March 2007 - how harsh is that - I might have to correct my LMP when I visit the mw today to bump me into April!
