Ok, do DH and I were BDing with me on top last night, when all of a sudden i got this stabbing pain which made me curl up and roll off him. I've had pain when BDing before when DH is too far in, but normally its no where near that painful and moving slightly tends to fix it. I've also noticed that the front half of my cervix is soft while the back half is hard and feels like it has a bump. I don't know really what's normal in there cause before i started ttc i never really poked around in there, but now i check CM. I got a smear test done in about march because i get pains like AF pains all month, so doc tested for clamidia (which i doubt i'd have cause me and DH have never slept with anyone else) and she poked around in there and said everything was fine. (smear test was actually useless cause i booked an appoitment when i was on my AF. combination of forgetting about AF and not knowing it would affect the test cause i've not have it done b4 )


Should i go get checked out again? I dont like that doc much, but my gp's a guy and DH isn't comfy with me getting checked out down there by a guy. Dont like the female doc cause she always comes across as really uncaring (AND broke my confidentiality once. I was 16 tho so she may have been allowed to )

It is usually the nurse that does the smear. If you have a family planning clinic near they can do it there too.

How do i book an appointment with a nurse? last time i had it done the doc made me come back the next week, and booked my appointment with her for me. I'm surprised she didnt send me to the nurse actually

if youve read any of my diary u'll see how i feel about smears , you should make sure your all healthy down there before ttc anyway ! i was very younge when i got first dodgy smear test !

as for the pain , i also get this when he goes too deep , on my right hand side , dont wanna scare u lol but i now put this down to me having my dermoid might not be tho!

you can just call the doctors and book an apt with the nurse for a smear. same with the family planning clinic.
DO get checked, it's not a bag of fun but it is important.x

I didnt find the actual smear too bad last time, its just the whole booking of the appointment. I'm not very good with people ^_^ So i just phone up and ask for an appointment with a nurse, then in the appointment ask for a smear test?

only some nurses are qualified to give smears so when u phone just simpy ask for a smear appoitment , and try and get it mid cycle

i would just call and ask for an apt with the nurse for a smear. If the nurse can't do it at your surgery call the local family planning clinic (think they are in the phone book)

Ok, thanks guys ^_^ I feel so ignorant when it comes to this kinda stuff. My mum taught me nothing, and they dont teach stuff about smears in school sex ed either We didnt even get teh condom on the cucumber cause the nurse who was gonna come in and demonstrate was off on maternity leave
