Im sure i read that it is normal to have nose bleeds, and when i was younger i was prone to them, i think i grew out of them about 5 years ago. But now they have started back up. Over the weekend i had one for no reason, Tuesday 4.45am i turned over in bed and had one and this morning i was washing my face, when i opened my eyes it wasnt pretty... they dont last long so im not worried... i hope i shouldnt be worried but was wondering if anyone else has or is getting any?

xx

i haven't had any actual nose bleeds but i will sometimes have a little bit of blood when i blow my nose! it is normal so don't worry to much, just make sure you keep an eye on how many/how long they last! pregnant women are more prone to them because of the heightened blood flow and the blood vessels in the nose are tiny and prone to bursting! hope you don't suffer to badly with them! x

so far they only last a few minutes thankfully.

Thanks for the post

I had never suffered with nose bleeds in my life......until I was pregnant! So far they only start when I blow my nose which since I've had a stuffy nose the whole pregnancy as you can imagine is quite often lol
Luckily they really don't last long and I've been very lucky otherwise symptom wise so shouldn't complain too much haha

i was prone to them as a teenager, its a hormonal thing i think not had any so far but i wouldnt be surprised if i did, something about the blood flow and hormone rush of puberty/pregnancy must trigger them, either that or sudden lifts in blood pressure.

I'm having my 6th nose bleed of the day! I've always had them and had the vessels sealed about 5 times each side! Thankfully they aren't very heavy - I've been know to bleed for 30 minutes at a time. I spoke to my midwife about them and she said they're normal, mine are probably worse at the mo as I've got a stuffy nose and for more the changing of pressure really affects me. Hope they sort themselves out for you x x x
