Tom is so unwell.
He had a temperature of 39 last night. We gave him Medised in the night but it was still up at 38.4 this morning.
We took him to the doctor by which time he was covered in red dots. He had cold hand and feet so the doctor suspected meningitis.
We got referred to a paediatrician in A&E who was lovely. He said Tom has a throat infection with a non-specific viral rash.
Has anyone else come across this?
We now have antibiotics and are to alternate between Calpol and Nurofen.
I'm a bag of nerves - haven't eaten all day and feel sick with worry.
The rash is so frightening looking.
I've just put him to bed but we're preparing ourselves for a long night.

Got no advice sorry but wanted to give you these
I hope Tom gets better soon

Thats really frightening hun, know what your going through as Rowan was in hospital at new year with septicemia. Hope he makes a very quick recovery. Always amazes me how fast they get ill and yet how quickly they also bounce back.
