Has anyone else had this after giving birth? I didn't have it at first.. but a few days in (at home) I've been waking up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat and getting a hives rash on my legs (and an itchy neck!?) - i think the hives may be heat related as they fade by morning.
I have had mastitis too and hoping it has gone! (hoping not to do with that!)

Yes, night sweating is really common. I think it's your body getting rid of the excess fluid. I had hideous sweating after my first pregnancy as I had pre-eclampsia so loads of fluid. With my second one it only lasted a few days during the first week or so.

Not sure about hives though, sorry.

Yes I wake up drenched in sweat too it's so uncomfortable :-(

Yeah I had it too, made worse by spending long periods overnight sat cross legged feeding baby. It did go away on its own eventually.

im glad someone mentioned the night sweats and i have been having them and wondered what they were and what was causing them, but i had a TON of fluid and water all over my body, that it makes sense to sweat it out as it has reduced significantly :)

Me too for night sweats! Literally waking up with my clothes soaked through at night - bad enough to need to change clothes. I also had a lot of fluid retention. Three weeks post partum and still sweating loads x

Mine lasted a good 5-6 weeks after the birth. They were so bad I had to change the bed most mornings!

Breastfeeding mums are prone to night sweats hunni, just your hormones settling down. Mine lasted about 3wks, hows the boobies now?? Xx

Eugh the night sweats are horrid! Glad it isn't just me.
