My 2 week old baby doesn't seem to like the dark. At night I have to wait until he's properly asleep before turning the lamp/tv off or he will wake up. I bought a Ewan sheep that glows but I personally find the low volume setting still too loud. I'm thinking of setting another night light, does anyone have any recommendations?

You can get really simple ones that plug into wall sockets and are fairly dim. I think ours was a Lindam brand one. I used it at first just to be able to see where I was trying to put my nipples!
It might just be sensing the sudden change to dark that's disturbing him rather than a fear iof the dark. Guessing it's pretty dark in the womb anyway! Perhaps let the change to darkness be more gradual while cuddling?

My lo did this for the first few weeks as well so we slept with a lamp on the dimmest setting. After about 3-4 weeks ish he became ok with the dark and I could turn the light off without disturbing him. Personally I didn't want to go down the route of a night light as I've got 2 boys and I don't want one of them to need a light on at night, i also think as they get older they're more prone to wake fully if they stir and find the room is light x

We've always had the GroEgg in our room and it gives a gentle glow. Now she still has it in her room but I tend to throw a tiny crochet cloth on top of it to dim the glow even more x

We have the sheep and the gro egg. Apparently red or orange is the best colour to have as it helps sleep where as the blues and whites encourage being awake. So keep an eye out for those colours. We have a white nightlight on our landing so I can see to walk about but I did wonder if we moved it into the bedroom ever if I could put a coloured bit of film over it to change it to red.

Any thoughts on the chicco star projectors?
