I have been waiting for ages wondering when I am going to hear from a midwife and finally gave up and rang docs who gave me the number. I left a msg for them to phone back and when they did they said that the doctor had never referred me!!!!

She said that she would bool me in for a scan though. My sister is getting married on 23rd September in England (where I am originally from) and would have loved to have a picture to show off, and told MW this and she booked me in for next week!!!!

Originally for wed 9:00am. I started to worry when I got off the phone as I have been off work since wed with a burst ear drum (I have NOT been well, poor me!) and thought my work would start getting ratty, so rang back and they gave me a scan for thurs 4:00. I can't wait, am so excited just want to hear the heart beat!!

I know this is long, just wanted to say that they are nice!! Any ideas what I'll see? Will I get a picture?

Lucky you! They are normally so difficult. Glad you got your scan so soon! :D With any luck you should be able to see you little one jumping around. You can ask for pictures but they do normally charge so make sure you take plenty of change with you. Good luck.

 :) :D :D I am so blummin excited, and it might jump around yea me!!!!

Is it normal to feel a bit edgey and worry there will be nothing there, or that something has happened?

Definately! I think we all worry that we'll get there and there wont be anything in there!

It's good that you've got nice midwifes, it makes such a difference :)

Scan pics at my hospital are £5 each, but the cost varies from hospital to hospital :)

i'd pay a million!! unfortunately I don't have a million though! :rotfl:

I was totally convinced that they would say there was no baby there. Think every one does.

Totally normal to be worried the screen was blank.....luckily for us it wasn't! Our cutie little jellybaby was bright as a button on screen, we didn't hear the heartbeat, but we could see it beating really strong on the monitor.

It was amazing - you'll love it! Our piccie was £4, its posted somewhere on first tri, and was 9w 5d, so your bubs will be bigger than ours when you get to see it.

Can't wait to see your pic!

just seen your picture emmylou, how exciting, a real live baby!!!!!!!! i hope you can tell ours is a baby and not just some strange shot from space invaders!

:rotfl: im sure it will be a fab pic hun and you will be able to see babba lovely xxx
