Hi ladies - I was wondering when people were thinking off having/ have had second babies and their reasons for when they did this? I want to start trying for number 2 and my husband says 1 is enough

We're thinking of trying after xmas. I want to have some time with me and Dan but I also don't want a large gap between them. Ideally I would rather try after the following christmas but it took me nearly 2 and a half years to get pregnant and I'm worried it may take some time again.

We're hoping to TTC after xmas but really depends on our financial situation closer to the time

I would love to ttc now as we both would have loved 3 or 4 children but I think DH and I have finally decided that we are just going to have Grace........ it took me nearly 15 years to have Grace and I am now 41 ....
both my parents have died and my DH parents live over 2 hours away so we do not have a very strong support system around for help which is fine with just the 3 of us, but I think if we had more children it would be quite difficult..........
I feel quite sad that I won't be pregant again as I loved it and sad that I won't be having anymore children........ but soooooooooooooo blessed that I have Grace ...... she is an absolutely darling

No really i would love another one but maybe when Alastair is at school so maybe in 5 yrs time, ive decided i will just look after other peoples babies 2 of my very best friends are having babies so i will just nick theres (and give them back when they cry )

Evie is 4 months old now and we are trying for number two already.

The reasons we are having another so soon is because:
1. Brian doesnt want Evie to be an only child as he was an only child and hated it and doesnt want that for Evie.
2. We want our children to be close in age, a companion for each other
3. Brian is comin up for 34 and he wants to have a little boy before (as he says) gets too old to run around with him.
4. I am goin back to university and i would rather have my kids before going back so that im not needing to take breaks ifrom my course to have a baby.
5. i would like to have my kids fairly young (im 21)

It took me over 5 years to talk DH round to try for number 2. Then when Aimee was born we knew we wanted one more pretty quick so we just left it to nature and I got pg again when she was 4 months old.

I'm going to be TTC again after Christmas, I always wanted a small gap between babies but OH doesn't want a baby who will be right at the end on the school year (he was the youngest in his year & hated it). So if we try again in January the earliest due date will be in September.

I'm hoping for another boy but would love a girl too.

There Is A 7 And A half Year Gap Between Brooke And Olivia. After Brooke I Really Didn't Think I Wanted Anymore Children I Think This Was Because I Was Young And Brooke Was Hard Work!

Then I Got Pregnant With Olivia And As Soon As I Had Olivia I Started Thinking About Our Next Baby!

I Was Ready To Start Trying Again When Olivia Was 6 Months, But We Decided To Wait Untill We Where Married First! And We Wanted To Enjoy Olivia! There Was Also Brooke To Think About, We Didn't Want Her To Feel Pushed Out!

We Get Married In 3 Weeks So Who Knows What Will Happen Between Then And Olivia Turning 2

we are ttc after christmas too, we dont want a big age gap between children as i hated being 5 yrs younger than my older sister and then i was 5yrs older than my youngest sister. also am off back to uni soon to do Midwifery so want to have baby no 2 first. I carnt wait am so excited, it only took one month to conceive Niamh so i hope am lucky again. xx
