Hi you all, from beautiful West Wales.

Just dipping my toe in to see if this is for me. My hubby and I have trying since we got married last Christmas (well for a while before that actually, but never seriously)

Of course it is really a diversion from my writers block, it was here or a dieting website, couldnt decide. But ttc is more important for us both so here I am!

hello

Hi star fish!
My name is Kim and im a newbie too. I just joined yesterday and have found everyone on here so welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Been trying for 2 and a half years, really felt like giving up to be honest but then stumbled across this site by accident and i have felt more positive than i have done in months>
We will probably see a lot more of each other, until then fingers crossed and lots and lots of baby dust for you!!

xx

Hey!!
I have retcently joined too. i think 2 weeks. i have been trying for 14 months. Everyone on here is lovely and offere support. Shows that everyone is in the same boat and that is can happen.
Good luck to you xx

Thanks ladies, gotta find my way round all the ackronyms (sp?) etc, but lots of interesting posts on here.

I was a bit put off by the post with all the pregnant women waving the pitchforks, but you should see all the skinny agressive anorexics (sp) on the dieting websites! At least here the advice isn't "just don't eat" and appears to be actually helpful. I like the one on tips, very good info and very funny

Hi again

Here a link that will help explain all the acronyms, i was the same as you yesterday so someone kindly send me the link- Abbreviations & Lingo Explained
I know what you mean about the post, i wouldnt let that put you off though, you never know, sometime in the near future we might be pregnant women waving pitchforks!!
The tips are great, really made me chuckle and when youre feeling emotional and hormonal a good laugh is just what is needed!!

Hey, and welcome :)

Ive only been on here for nearly 2 months, and only been ttc for the same amount if time, but this forum has been fab! Its opened my eyes to how many people actually struggle when ttc, and the stuff you talk about on here - there is no such thing as too much information. Its just nice to know that other people are feeling/thinking/worrying about the same things.
Plus, I love looking at forums - I am soooo nosy, lol! Before my wedding, used a wedding one, and since then, had no other forum to become a member of! Well, you said about dieting ones, I was on weightwatchers for the last year, and it was quite interesting reading that forum! Have quit that now, as am a healthy weight, and dont want anything stopping me from ttc.

Welcome and Good luck on your journey!
xxxxx

Thanks all! Yes, forums are a great distraction from working. I have a couple of online writing communities I'm part of (though again it is really competitive on there! and I'm just not). I think the dieting ones arent great, am trying to find a good 'healthy eating' one instead. Am really into 'growing my own' but those seem full of kind of boring people. It's nice on here though to find so many people in a similar situation ttc, but you do all make me feel really old!

Hello!! I just joined today and started trying on wednesday! So I am really new to it all too! Hope we can help each other through.

How old are you star fish? Im 37 in 2 weeks time if that makes you feel any better!
xx:)

Hi E! (I will try to learn the rest of it!) thats nice to be starting together. I'll look out for you

That is a relief misstinkerbell, but i'm 38 today, omg.... so old..... want to get the baby thing nailed before 40!

There is a school round the corner and all the mums look about 20, how embarrasing when i have one

Theres only a year between us star fish! Im the same though, i want to either be pregnant or have a baby before 40, fingers crossed! My friend turned 40 in Feb and she has a 7month old baby girl now so it does happen! Besides, if youre anything like me then you may be 38 but your brain feels about 18 so technically we are still young

Oh and Happy Birthday!! Dont forget to make a wish!! xx

You all know what I wished for!!

Yes, I really dont feel nearly 40, I still feel much closer to 30, but then we have done so much living in the past few years that they just sped by so bloody quickly! There are still a ton of things i want to do and places I want to visit before I have kids, but i realise that I really have to prioritise now and do the kids thing next or it really will be too late. I keep saying to hubby that this that and the other will have to wait now until we retire......
