New opks... So confused now.

I'm sure I felt ov yesterday afternoon cd14.
I had a bit of pain after last night too. And my ewcm went a bit cloudy ( could be due to oh swimmers I suppose)
But opk is dark today.
Could I have caught it on its way up yday (cd 14) and had diluted my pee too much to catch a dark one in the pm
And caught it going down today (cd15)
Pics added are my cycle days (hearts are dtd, flower is predicted ov but is only from reading my cycle for 2 yrs not bbt or opks) and the opks.

You are probably covered but defo dtd again today if possible just incase you havent ovulated. I ovulate usually same day as lh surge and always dtd that day aswell as day aftet in additions to the days leading up to surge. Im 5dpo so having a rest now haha!

And once It goes lighter do I then class as 1dpo?
Thats the part I'll struggle with I think. Working that out lol.

You can ovulate up to 48 hours after lh surge. However like i said i ovulate same day as surge so i class day after as 1dpo. Im 42 so older women tend to ovulate within a few hours of surge. Counting day after as 1dpo you wont be too far out but when taking a hpt to bear that in mind in case you didnt ovulate until 48 hours after....as you could be just testing a day or two early....if that makes sense? X

And when do I count 1dpo... Not tomorrow but Monday as this has me ovulating tomorrow now. My cm is still ewcm too

The last opk looks positive to me. I always thought you needed to dtd in days leading up to ov so that the swimmers are in the right place when you do ov.I thought they also recommend dtd every other day for sperm quality - I could be remembering this wrong though as this was something I looked into when trying for my first x

Yeah they recommend every other day for sperm quantity I think. And so there fresh.
And yeah the spermies need to be waiting for the egg not the other way round. I got a darker opk at 3.40 this afternoon so I'm going to have to try and sneak a bd in even though my mums stopping over.
I'd feel I'd missed my chance if I don't do it and if af came and I didn't do it tonight I'd blame myself. At least if we have all basis covered then I know it just wasn't my month!

Managed to dtd last night even if I did have to wake oh up Lmao! Will do another opk soon and see what's happening with that one.

I used the egg meets sperm plan this month and that suggests every other day from cd10 then 3 nights consecutively when you get positive opk...then night off then once month the night after....its supppsed to have good success but time will tellm every other day is supposed to be enough x

I thought once you get a pos opk you ovulate within 48 hours. Does that mean I need to keep dtd after 48 hours? We dtd on the 2 peak days.

Yeah Iv read about smep and it has got some good reviews.
Yes sunflower it's advised to dtd on day of pos opk and for 2 days after that just to cover all basis. But the smep tells you to then miss a day and dtd once more then your truly covered.
Once every other day is more than enough I think and I did plan on doing that but we just fancied it the other nights so did it anyway lol.

I wondered whether thats where id been going wrong when i read smep as i usually dtd before and on day of surge and then stop. Im 6dpo habing used emsp first time so if it works will be shouting it from the rooftops! Im not hopeful as already had night hot flashes last night which i get a week before! Might be worth trying though dtd 3 consecutive nights then night off followed by once more if you can...cant do any harm? X

Thanks. We did day of surge and day after surge, as well as every other day leading up to surge. Have suggested to DH that we dtd again tomorrow but I think he wants a rest. I thought you could only ovulate within 48 hours of the LH surge....so confused now, I've had this wrong for the last 2 years. Might be able to talk DH round next cycle if prepared for it.

This cycle we dtd every other day up to the surge which was Mon, Wed, Fri. I think that would have been Friday morning which I would know if I'd remembered to test haha!! Although I suspect I ovulated Friday and we dtd that night, we're gonna go again later since in theory I could have ovulated later than Friday and the egg can still survive for about 24 hours. So I figured it won't hurt.
