New matress for 2nd baby?

i know that you should always buy a new matress for cots/moses baskets but can i used the ones I have for my next baby or should i be buying a new one for the moses basket and cotbed? Just wondered if anyone knew?

im pretty sure they advise you to buy new. Saying that though, my mum has a cot in her house for annabelle to use when we visit and its been used by another family member before her. I wouldnt use it full time, but a night or 2 every fortnight isnt really worth buying a new one for me.

I haven't bought a new mattress for the moses basket cos Aimee only used it for 4 weeks. Even if it was longer I don't think I would have bothered.

I got given a moses basket by a friend and despite the mattress looking clean and new i did buy a new one, and il buy a new cotbed one too when stephen has a big bed.
