Sorry if this post looks stupid, but what do people do here in UK, when they really need to see a doctor during the week-end? Maheen is really not well, chesty cough for 4 days now, she was in nursery on Thursday and Friday, when I was at work, and she had started to cough the day before. Now, it's got worse and temperature is worse as well, so I would like to take her to doctor to get something else than Calpol and nurofen children, which do nothing!

I have already called NHS direct 2 days ago, and they said if it does not get better then Maheen should see a doctor, but HOW?

I don't think it's a matter to take her to A&E!

In France, There are always duty doctors you can call, anytime, day and night, but here I just don't know what's available!
There are no walkin center where we live :(

HELP! :wall:

Thanks
Mel xx

If you ring your doctors surgery there should be a message with the number for who to call in an emergnency out of hours.

Yeah I do what Kellie said or call NHS Direct. They get a nurse to call you back.
