OK, I need brilliant ideas as I'm stuck thinking about it my self .
I'm planning to have a childrens playing room. the room is about 5.5 m * 6 m something I guess. it's nice and big for kids to play around.
The problem is I don't know how to furnishe it the best way that suits children. and what to put in it. certainly a TV maybe beanbags?
do i need shelfs ?
hmm toy chest of course?
what else I need your ideas please

I'd not worry about a TV to start with. I personally never found much use for them with babies and prefer a play room without TV until children are older (and even then I could live without one). The less exposure to TV at a very young age the better IMHO.

I think you should start off basing it from the 0-3 age range that can then be adapted as your child grows.

Things like Duplo building blocks (when old enough for them), play mats, baby toys. Bookcase or shelf for books etc. Somewhere to play music on, a CD player or some such. Decent storage space behind closed doors.

I'd get a small persons table and chairs. A sofa is also good if you have room so adults can sit with baby/child. Great for story time and things.

You don't need masses of things really. Early stages are not active, babies are unable to do much themselves so its about making it colourful, interesting for their eyes and other senses etc that they feel comfortable in. And then as they grow you just adjust things slightly to fit in with the age/stage they are in, be it crawling, walking, bashing pots and pans....

I always think the best playrooms have a big open floor space so as the child grows things like train sets or building blocks can be spread out over the floor. Also giant paper pieces etc for drawing on then are great. And gives the child plenty of room to move around in. Does not need to be fancy, just practical and safe for a child and easy to tidy afterwards

Thanks Sherlock,
brilliant idea , I know it sound simple but lately really can't concentrate on anything. :wall:
