So here is the deal
Riven has had diahorrea (spelling), since Saturday, we took him to the doctor as i was concerned 1. Incase he was dehydrated and 2. Because of his op for pyloric and maybe it was affecting him again, and she has given him dioralyte to have in between feeds but also as a replacement feed for one in the morning and one in the afternoon to help stodgy him up and replace any salts he loses, whatever i do he won't take it, it's the black currant one so it has a sweet taste as opposed to the stuff he had in hospital when he was poorly so he should be ok, I have tried warming the water before hand and that didn't work either. He had 9 pooey nappies on Sunday alone all with runny poop.
He has been feeding ok up until today, he has only had about 170ml all day he won't take anymore just keeps pushing the bottle away, he hasn't had any dioralyte and he has had 6 pooey nappies today, all he wants to do is sleep and that is all of what he has done today, he is currently sleeping and will probably stay asleep now until half three when he would normally wake up for a feed hopefully, he hasn't fed since about half two this afternoon and then he only had about 40 ml it's nowhere near enough..
Im starting to get really concerned, I've tried heating the bottles, I've tried them cold, I have tried changing the teat to a size 2, I'm at a loss.
Does anyone have any ideas on what to do, do I just leave him until he is screaming for food and then try and get him to take more than normal? I don't want him to up chuck.
I'm thinking of calling the doctor again tomorrow but it just seems I am calling them all the time and I feel I should be able to deal with this on my own.
Thanks in advance ladies x x x
