Ok ready for the first slow cooker meal.

I have stew beef, potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash and carrots.

I put the vegetables cut in pieces on the bottom and on top the meat right? Then add some spices but less than bit al because they may get bitter? Add some beef stock and set on low for 8 h? Check and see if it needs 2 more h?

Do all those sound right??? How much of the beef stock I put in??

Slow cooking virgin here :faint:

When i cook a stew i chop it all up, chuck it all in, pour gravy over the top and leave on high for eight hours.

To be fair thats how i cook everything in my slow cooker!! Chop it, chuck it, leave it!

Emily on high for 8 h? Not on low for 8 h??? :faint: I am useless lol.

Thats what it said on the instructions... i think.

Anyways, thats what i do and it always turns out ok. Doing a sausage casserole in the slow cooker this week. Yummy!

First meal ready! We will see how did it go I suppose... It has a little too much water though, next time I have to put less.
It better be yummy :)

Can you tell me Emily how you make a sausage casserole?? Never made or ate one

Cut up sausages (you can brown them off first but i don't bother), bacon, an onion, mushrooms, tin of chopped tomatoes, tin of baked beans, crumble in a stock cube, squeeze of brown sauce and sachet of colemans sausage casserole mix. Chuck it all in a pot, stick it in the oven on 180' for an hour and serve with mash. If i dont have a colemans mix, i just pour beef gravy over instead.

Yummy!!
