Anyone had this trouble where they cant find f all lol!! We did an exchange in july but now preg need to exchange again and i cant find anything! geting really annoyed now x

We've been trying to find a bigger rental place in our price bracket since October. But most don't allow pets and a few have turned us down as preggers - say no kids.

I was shocked when I read a few saying no pets or kids. Can understand the pets but not the kids :/

Oh my god!! Do people really say no kids??? Crikley I'm stuffed then lol

No kids thats mental!!! most people have kids. and ppl without kids dont really want to rent say a 3 bed with no kids?x

Yeah I was shocked. Agent told me it's cos I live so close to the airport (stansted) everyone just wants to let out to profesional people that work there or need to rent here for a bit for work :(

We've been approved for a mortgage IF we can get a deposit but we don't have 2k laying around for one never mind 20k we'll need :(

It really sucks as paying a mortgage is cheaper than renting but it goes on how much hubby earns and not how much we can pay a month :( Grrrr

It does suck dont it. we could never be aproved for a mortgage lol x

We have no kids and a 3 bed, not TTC until 2014/15. We like it because one room is my hubby's music room and the other room acts as part guest room part office. A lot of the people in my road are childless in similar sized houses, I guess it's cos we like the space/use bedrooms for things other than beds :-)

I can see a certain logic to the no kids thing, if for instance it's in a block with lots of elderly people for noise reasons - it's no fun for anyone in that situation as kids need to be busy and noisy, or if the Landlords have had bad experiences with some families in the past, it's just them protecting their investment.

I'm not sure how far along you are, but things might change closer to April when the new rules about extra bedrooms and the Housing Benefit cap come in. It might be worth sticking it out until then, especially as people tend to avoid moving around Christmas/New Year.

Sorry hope i didnt offend about the no kids comment thing? Yea im hoping with the new law ppl wont wanna pay extra for spare room so might downsize. i think that only affects housing benefit ppl or people that get some help with rent? x

Think it just affects the benafits people.

If the council just bought out all the abandond/deralict houses and did them up and sold them to people like us - not only would it get more people into houses and property ladder, but would get them money (espeically if they do more part buy, part rent schemes) but would put back into dead and dying communitys.

Yea i wouldnt mind party buying part renting but i would need to make sure i wouldnt want any more kids and that it was the definate home for me n my family x

Nah, no offence taken :-) It will affect people who get Housing Benefit, so may shake up the private and council rental markets quite a way really.
