I have friends from Russia. And name Denis is popular there. But I think in England it will sound good too. It is beautiful name.

Usually spelled Dennis in the UK, it's not a popular name just now but definitely a "normal" one. You should be aware there is a cartoon/comic book character called "Dennis the Menace".

I think it's a lovely name though.
