My poor doggy!

I've got a Springer Spaniel, he'll be 14 in October. He's been a pretty healthy dog but he's got arthritis, and a few funny looking growths. A while ago the Vet said they weren't cancerous, more like skin tags or warts, so it would be worse to give him a general anaesthetic and remove them, best just to leave them. The last couple of weeks he's been really licking one of his paws, so we put a big collar on him to stop getting to it. Now he won't put any weight on it, won't walk and is very unhappy so he's at the vets for an X-ray, they're keeping him all day.

I am so scared they're going to say it's something bad, I could cry right now.
